Nellie Melba on Record

Tamagno Issue – Messaline Opera Disc

The Historic Masters boxed set of Tamagno 12″ records included his unpublished creator disc from Isidore de Lara’s opera, Messaline. It was first performed in Monte Carlo in 1899 The score for the opera “Messaline” was printed in 1899 and has a full cast list for the first performance including Tamagno, whose unpublished disc was included in our boxed set. We have included a facsimile of the Messaline Cast 1899
